As you would expect many of our projects are commercially sensitive and many of our commissions are for ultra high net worth individuals who prefer privacy. However, following are a selection of projects to share with you which give you a flavour of our skill set.
Bentley
Classic car restoration
Our client had owned a Bentley S2 for many years. It had previously had a poor quality restoration and displayed lacklustre paint, poor panel fit and rust was becoming apparent on the sills. This led our client to the decision that the car needed restoring and SOURCE was commissioned to undertake a full restoration. We carefully stripped the car back to bare metal, hand built new sill panels, reworked much of the metal work replacing filler and making good panels. We then primed and painted the car using the latest techniques, giving it the panel fit and paint finish it would have had when new. The owner is fully satisfied and we are now restoring another of his classic cars in the same way.
FIREFLY
Design, engineering and manufacture
SOURCE was approached by the UK’s largest under 17 driving schools and asked if we could design, engineer and manufacture a 2 seater electric car to be used for training 5 – 10 year olds. The brief specified that an adult should be able to accompany a child in the car, it should have contemporary looks, and car like handling with rack and pinion steering, independent suspension and full LED lighting and indicators. SOURCE created the Young Driver Firefly2 car which has just entered production at our Coventry facility.
